A Free Consultation and Flat-Fee Approach to Estate Planning Legal Fees

Choosing an estate planning lawyer involves more than comparing estate planning attorney fees. Knowing what an estate planning attorney charges should never be a mystery. It requires trust in the person who will guide your family through some of life’s most important decisions. Attorney John H. Eden IV has served Citrus County and surrounding communities for over 34 years, and he believes every client deserves to understand costs upfront.

Your first estate planning consultation with our Inverness office is completely free of charge. During this meeting, we review your goals, your family situation, and the assets you own, then recommend whether a revocable living trust, a last will and testament, or another arrangement best fits your needs.

Once we understand your particular estate planning documents needs, we quote a flat fee for legal services rather than billing by the hour. That means no surprises, no running clock, and no guesswork about what your estate plan will ultimately cost.

Estate Planning Package Pricing

Every estate planning attorney fees package below is a flat rate covering document preparation for the listed forms. Whether you need a simple will, a revocable living trust, or coordinated husband and wife wills, we build each package to include the incapacity planning documents that protect you during your lifetime, not just after your death.

Individual Estate Planning Document Fees

Not every client needs a full trust or will package right away. Some clients simply need a single document updated or prepared, and our estate planning attorney fees for individual documents reflect that flexibility.

Durable power of attorney (survives incapacity): $250
Health care surrogate/living will, including durable power of attorney language for health care decisions: $250
Simple will without supporting documents: $250
Quit claim deeds to transfer property into your trust, in-state (per deed/property): $250
Quit claim deeds to transfer out-of-state property (per deed/property): $500
Recording fees up to $25 are included in the quit claim deed pricing above
We also coordinate asset transfers into trusts and can refer you to a qualified financial advisor outside our office, at no additional charge, to assist with trust funding and financial planning.

What to Know Before You Budget for Your Estate Plan

Every family’s situation differs, so a few notes help set realistic expectations about estate planning attorney fees before your consultation. These points apply across all of our trust, will, and incapacity planning packages.

All fees listed are approximate and subject to change based on your particular estate planning needs
Trust package fees include preparation of a pour-over will, durable power of attorney, and health care surrogate/living will designation
Fees are exclusive of costs and do not include attorney time for extensive asset transfers or more comprehensive estate plans, such as charitable trusts or private foundation planning
Your first consultation is always free, with a flat fee quoted only after we understand your goals
More complex matters, including federal estate tax planning or probate administration for larger estates, are quoted separately based on scope
